The hijacker that day didn’t look like a typical terrorist; by all accounts, he looked unremarkable. He had purchased a one-way ticket on the Northwest Orient Airlines flight on November 24, 1971. At no point did he show any sign that he would become one of the most notorious criminals the FBI had ever pursued.
