Then, in June 2010, Coriam took a fateful decision. Along with scores of other applicants, she attended an interview day with Disney Cruises in London, England. The company was looking for new recruits to staff its cruise liners – and Coriam, with her impressive background, was hired.
Later that year, Coriam flew to Florida for training before joining her first cruise. Initially, she spent four months cruising around the Bahamas before heading home for a two-month break. Then, after reuniting with her family in Chester, the 24-year-old flew to Los Angeles, California, and joined the Disney Wonder.
Sadly, it was to be Coriam’s last assignment. When she briefly went back to Chester for two weeks to attend her grandfather’s funeral, it would be the final time that Coriam’s family would see her alive. After that, a bizarre mystery began to unfold on the decks of the Disney Wonder.
